Professional Experience

Michael Huckabee, PhD, MPAS, PA-C, graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center’s PA program in Omaha, and is now a professor and director of the Division of Physician Assistant Education at the same school. He completed his Doctor of Philosophy in Leadership Studies and maintains his clinical practice at a Lincoln NE pediatric clinic.

UNMC’s PA Program has been successful in recently obtaining two federal grants nearing $2 million for PA education, all to support preparing PAs for primary care. Michael also enjoys writing and has published two works of fiction. He and his wife, Nancy, reside in Nebraska and have four wonderful children. Michael has been awarded the Teacher of the Year and Who’s Who in American Medicine awards.
