Scholarships

Certified Medical Educators is honored to offer each year up to $1000 in scholarships to professional year (didactic or clinical) Physician Assistant students in accredited PA programs. The application process includes only 3 sections and applications are accepted throughout the year. Committee members will contact finalists, verify student status and make a final decision in May and December of each year. Applications may be resubmitted on a yearly basis.

Section 1: Resume

Please submit a current resume with name, address, email, phone number, education, employment, activities, awards, etc. Please include three references (name, address, email, phone #). If possible, references should include: (2) Physician Assistants: you may choose a program faculty member as one of the PAs (but don’t have to) and (1) personal reference.

Section 2: Questions

In 3 or less sentences for each, please answer the following:

1. If you could practice medicine as a PA in any area of the world, where would you work and why?
2. If you could no longer work as a PA, what would be your dream, non-medical job?

Section 3: Essay

Besides the challenge experienced becoming a PA student, please describe your lifetime’s most difficult challenge and how it has impacted you.

Section 2 & 3 should fit on one page, typed with 11 point font and 1.15 line spacing.
